Summary of Documentary -- (Film run time 50 minutes)

  • Artist Phil Taylor has dedicated his life paying tribute and memorializing America's fallen servicemen and women through his portraits of patriotism.  This effort, known as The American Fallen Soldiers Project,  presented SSG Christian Engeldrum's portrait to his family and 800 guests on September 12, 2009 during a special event held at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.  This documentary film shares the story of SSG Chris Engeldrum and the journey of Phil and his wife, Lisa, in their effort to fulfill their mission to honor one of FDNY's finest in "Strength and Honor, The Story of Drum".
